Today we have an array of options not open to our brewing forbears of yesteryear: exotic hops from around the world, enhanced equipment and techniques, new styles…
So what does the future of cask look like? In this series, we attempt to showcase a BBF version of the future of cask: a perfect marriage of past and future through two ostensibly traditional beers and two hyper modern variants.
As fierce proponents of cask beer and huge innovators (30 new cask beer recipes in 2019 alone) we believe that tradition is tending the flames and not worshipping the ashes; that the old can be as good as the new, and that the only way to do justice to the classics of the past is to keep them alive by bringing them into the future.

The first beer from our Re/Adventure Series, two phases; past and future. This is Future Proof, a traditional Mild that starts our expedition into the past.
A Mild is rarely seen in the craft beer wilds, but it could be time for a comeback. Somewhere between an amber and a porter in colour this classic mild really is the ultimate session beer.
Future Proof is a simple honest beer, biscuit, malty, nuttyness with sweet smoothness, honey and caramel. This beer has low bitterness and is a pure session dream.

Round 2: Re/Adventure Series, two phases; past and future.
It's time to take the classics into the future, from the super smooth Mild we hyper modernise using two of the biggest hops in the game and a serious malt base to celebrate the classic.
We kick off with Citra & Mosaic, modern and seriously powerful bringing their tropical, citrus, bubblegum & blueberry notes straight at you.
Focus remains on malt using a super smooth base of amber, crystal and carared creating that deep amber caramel dream we all love.

Welcome to the Valley Of Eden, the northern lands that dream of a pale, balanced & bitter pint.
Pouring a pale golden this is an all English hopped Northern bitter.
High in bitterness with super smooth warm biscuity aromas through the Chevallier classic malt alongside notes of lemon, lime, grass and mint all thanks to the northern Bobek & Fuggles hops.

US CRYO HOP | SESSION IPA

Round 2: The final part of this journey, we take the classic Northern Bitter & hyper modernise into the all time hero that is the SESSION IPA.
Azzaca & Equanot in CRYO form bring their iconic U.S citrus and tropical fruit notes. Inspired by the Northern Bitter smoothness the Paradise Lost malt bill focuses on CaraPils, super pale & Vienna malt for a super smooth base providing the ideal platform for the cryo hops to fly.
