BRIGHTEN THE STREETS, ONE CAN AT A TIME

Introducing BRUSH UP 4.2% courtesy of UPFEST x PAUL MONSTERS x BRISTOL BEER FACTORY.

Since UPFEST's inception in 2008, over 5,000 artists have created masterpieces at its festivals and events, bringing social commentary, positivity, and conversations through the inclusive artform of painting in public spaces. Artists from across the globe have travelled to BS3 leaving upwards of 150 murals for both the community and visitors to admire, and to them we say big UP!

UPFEST is an integral part of the Bristol landscape, specifically around BBF’s home in BS3, and has been built on years of collaborations. Here at BBF we’ve been rolling up our sleeves and getting involved in the creative output. The outcome is a limited-edition Euro lager, BRUSH UP 4.2%. 100% of the profit from BRUSH UP will be donated directly to UPFEST. This is Euro lager for the people.

The festival has teamed up artist and UPFEST team member Paul Monsters with BBF: UPFEST are splashing pints of colour on the walls of Bristol Beer Factory through Paul’s tessellating geometric pattern artwork. This distinctive pattern is also coating every can of BRUSH UP so that every member of the BBF community can get their hands on a piece of art (while stocks last).

Big ups to our brewery suppliers for donating all ingredients & boosting the fund:

CRISP MALTINGS
Donated the Lager malt. This is an English Spring barley with a slightly higher protein than their usual Ale malt and the subsequent low temperature kilning produces Lager Malt with a sweet but not ‘malty’ character.

CHARLES FARAM
Donated the Hops in partnership with SLO Hops a Slovenian hop grower. The 3-hop combo of Dana, Styrian Goldings and Cardinal provide us with a boost of floral, lemon and pine in this take on a traditional crisp, light lager.

FERMENTIS
Donated the yeast, SAFlager S189 originated from Switzerland. Lagered for 30 days, the strain provides a neutral and highly drinkable character with herbal and floral notes on the finish.

BARROW TANKS
Provide us with our luscious Hardy Brizzle water 😉

BRUSH UP 4.2% Euro Lager can be purchased online or at any participating Bristol venue.
