BLACK GATES is made with love and skill, an alternative to big brand stout. Only available on draught (expect a theatrical 2-part pour) and only available for independent pubs, this is a PUB ONLY pint with the independent spirit of BBF. When you see the Black Gates badge, know it has been made by a fiercely independent brewery, at a price affordable to the pubs we support.
This is no deep dive; the secrets of the perfect brew are staying between our brewery walls. Just know that BLACK GATES has already taken over the brewery, our staff, and our customers’ hearts. This is a beer that has thrown the drinking preferences of our team out the window. An early test version was trialled around the time of our AMPLIFY series, ahead of a planned release in 2025. But it was too good. A night to celebrate the AMPLIFED IPAs was gate-crashed by pints and pints of the black stuff. One sip and we knew it would never get better than this. That’s how Black Gates has thrown our brew schedule into turmoil, in a good way! We couldn’t hold it back.
